Breedbros Screens for Kief (Dry Sift)

Breedbros Kief Screens (Kief – English) are meticulously designed and crafted. They are used for sifting trichomes from plant material. These screens optimize the efficiency process and maintain the highest product quality. The Japanese-made mesh used in production is thicker than other similar products, and the frame is coated with an impregnating acrylic lacquer, made from pine wood, making it stronger and more durable. The frame is dowelled and has dimensions of 30 x 30mm. Our screens use two-component adhesive used in screen printing and have non-slip inserts. Neodymium magnets are incorporated for multi-level filtration ease. The design prevents loss of herbs and pollen. The frame displays mesh micron size information and the Breedbros logo.

The ample screen area allows processing of larger amounts of material, resulting in a higher quality finished product in less time. Our screens come in dimensions of 68 x 48 x 3 cm or 48 x 34 x 3 cm. The set includes 6 screens: 215 microns, 150 microns, 120microns, 85 microns, 60 microns, 22 microns. The last 22-micron mesh functions as a base and tray.

Variants offer the choice of individual screens or sets of 4 and 6 screens in two available sizes.

• Quality is paramount, which is why the screens feature the highest quality monofilament polyester mesh. “Monofilament” is absolutely key for ultra-high-quality dry sifting. These screens are made by weaving individual polyester fibers, preventing accidental clogging of the mesh by loose fibers or potential “entanglement” of trichome heads, as each line on the screen is just a single thread.

The value next to the letter “T” represents the number of fibers per cm, and the second number represents the size of the opening in microns:

How to use the screen?

Gently break down the herb with two hands on the 215-micron screen to let resin fall onto other screens (remember to use gloves for hand protection). After a while, remove the 215-micron screen and use a plastic card to pass the collected pollen through the 150-micron screen. After a while, you’ll see that the remaining plant matter doesn’t pass through the screen. Repeat the process with the remaining screens until more material no longer passes through them. Thanks to the screens, you can quickly and effectively extract resin from the plant, using the first (215 microns) and second screen (150 microns) to remove most of the plant material. From these two screens, you’ll obtain a slightly green pollen with average quality. Using the remaining 2 screens (120, 85 microns) will allow you to greatly improve the sifting process to get golden resin. In this case, the quality will be high. If you also use an additional screen (60 microns), you’ll achieve the highest possible quality, the essence of the essence. The additional 22-micron screen can serve as a base and tray.

Remember that reducing the number of filtrations decreases the quality of the final product. To obtain essential Kief, it should be filtered through all 5 screens.
